The weather in Seattle lately has been a bit bizarre. Cold, below freezing temps at night and barely into the mid thirties during the day, with dense fog often lasting well into the afternoon and creeping back in later in the night.
We have been pretty much experiencing this type of routine for a little over a week now. It looks like something off of a "Dracula" movie set.
Billowing fog almost from dusk till dawn. Reminds one of Transylvania.
Now, gray can be pretty, just not everywhere. A perfect example would be this lovely nail color by China Glaze. (Shown here is "Hook And Line")
This is a satiny smooth finish, very chic, and goes with everything from black, navy, red, or pastel colors.
Pair with jeans,a cozy sweater and scarf, and you've got a great look to chase away the chills of a cold gray day.
Find China Glaze at Sally's Beauty or at chinaglaze.com
Keep warm and cozy!
Until next time~

"Seahawks Pride" Inspired Nail Look
Thought I would try out a little nail art today, and wanted to show some team pride for our Seahawks.
I already had these two shades on hand from China Glaze "Deviantly Daring" a beautiful blue, and "Unpredictable" a perfect lime green. When paired together they make a great "fan-girl" statement.
I first used the Deviantly Daring as an allover color, and after drying, dotted on Unpredictable with the end of a paperclip dipped into the bottle.
Please allow adequate time for your "dots" to dry so that they won't smudge, then top with a fast drying clear sheen, like Chi.
And of course, any team colors will work!
Go Seahawks!
Until next time~

New Year...New Look
Happy New Year everyone! Hope 2013 has been good to you so far! I am looking forward to what this year has in store. There is no better way than to start with a fresh cut or a new look...
I recently wrote this review on Yelp, but thought I would share it with you all since I had one of the best experiences recently at 7 Salon at Bellevue Square Mall.
I had been hesitant to try this salon due to the fact that it had so many mixed reviews. I am so glad that I did!
I had received a gift certificate in a swag bag from Fashion's Night Out, and finally decided to use it to get my hair cut for NYE.
From the very moment that I walked in the door, I was made to feel welcome, they took me right away with very little waiting, offered me coffee from their in-house latte bar and hung up my coat.
I was greeted by one of the friendliest stylists who knew exactly what I wanted and spent time discussing what would work for my stick straight hair, and how to add the volume that I was craving.
Alyssa rocks! I looked like a movie star when I walked out of the salon, and got quite a few admiring glances. I LOVE my new haircut, and you can bet I will be back in a few weeks to keep it in shape. I was also informed that they give free bang trims and nape trims to their clients in-between cuts.
Even though they are a little price-y having hair that just falls into place is worth it. They did a better job than one of the more "popular" places here in Seattle and Alyssa took the time to really ask how I normally style my hair, what products I use, how I like my hair textured, even the way I like my bangs. I really felt like I mattered.
Thank you for providing an outstanding experience. I couldn't be happier.
It's been almost a week and I'm still rocking the same great style, upkeep is easy and it stays in place all day!

"Dashing" About
What a great treat! Have any of you tried this fragrance yet? The boxed gift comes with a shimmering lip gloss in a very pretty nude/peach shade,a 1oz eau de toilette spray, and a generous 3.4oz shimmering body lotion.
The scent is a mixture of jasmine, tuberose, and gardenia that is not too overpowering, and gets that sexy message across in a soft, alluring way.

"It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas"
Wow, can hardly believe that it will be Christmas in just a little over a week. Time has gone by so quickly.
I love this time of year. Time for snuggling up by the fireplace, enjoying a cup of peppermint hot chocolate and maybe going out to see some beautiful Christmas lights and tree decorations.
Aside from my own tree, I took a few pics of Downtown Bellevue and Seattle Center at night. I think we have some of the prettiest sites around.
Speaking of "sites" there is a new movie coming out soon from Cirque Du Soleil "Worlds Away"...and China Glaze has created a new collection.
Each one of these is like a candy confection. From hot pink (Escaping Reality) to sugary blues (Water You Waiting For) to my favorite of the collection, pictured here (It's A Trap-Eze)
These are eye catching glitters and creams that capture the dazzle for your digits perfectly.
Find them at Sally's Beauty.Hurry, they are a limited edition and wont be on the shelves long!

Lizzie Parker At Nordstrom Event
Exciting day today at Nordstrom in Bellevue Square. NBC's Fashion Star alum, Lizzie Parker held a designers meet and greet in the special occasion dresses section of the store.
I was actually lucky enough to meet Lizzie a few months ago when she had her dress on display for Fashion's Night Out back in September.
I was actually lucky enough to meet Lizzie a few months ago when she had her dress on display for Fashion's Night Out back in September.
Today's event showcased so much more of her lovely designs.
I had a chance to speak with the emerging "muse" and find out a little bit more about her collection.
Lizzie has been sewing ever since she was a little girl at the age of nine! Her dresses are made to flow with a woman's body, and are designed to layer or dress up as you please. Lizzie is delighted to have Nordstrom to show her line, and is intending to expand on the fabrics you see here.
Most dresses range in price from $199 to $238 (for the Anne dress) What I love best is that they seem to be designed with a tall gal in mind, and do indeed drape and flow easily over your frame.
Elegant, comfortable, without being fussy. Wearable fashion, for real women.
Find these and more at Nordstrom, second floor, at Bellevue Square.

Until next time~
