"WINNING" LOOKS

I know that Bellevue Fashion Week was last month, but I cant help gushing over these beautiful dresses by Independent Designer Runway winner Phuong M. Nguyen of Dream Dresses!

There have been quite a few photos displayed recently, but I wanted to show these dresses from a different angle so that you can see the details of each crystal bead, sequin and stitch,as well as how the dress flows.

These heavenly creations are truly a work of art.

It's really hard to see the craftsmanship that goes into each dress up close when it is floating down the runway on a model,so I am very glad that these dresses are on display at The Bellevue Collection Center Court.

Following, are a few of my favorites, along with a dress that took my breath away.

Exquisite beading
The corset and lace on this dress is divine

Life is but a "dream"

"PUMPED UP"

It's not very often that a girl gets the chance to get a personal recommendation from one of her favorite beauty and hair care teams, but that's exactly what happened.

I am a huge fan of the show Project Runway (yes, THE Project Runway,on Lifetime TV) and I love tweeting along with the Sally Beauty team,Mary Kay makeup artists and the show. I have even tweeted with some of my favorite designers on the show this season.

Thursday night,Sally Beauty and the wonderful Gregory Patterson (@GO Peterson) invited viewers to a Truth or Dare game about our hair. I shared that my hair woes were flat, non voluminous locks. In reply, I got a personal recommendation to try their brand of Volume Building Shampoo : "FaLL3nAng3L79 Voluminous hair starts in the shower! Try this #ProjectRunway 'IN' product: http://bit.ly/1Lqicaf  #SBrunway" and my tweet to them was favorited by the brand ambassador himself.

So,being the beauty gal that I am,I hopped over to my nearest Sally Beauty and found not only the shampoo, but a whole line of products made just for me! They are safe for color treated hair and made to pump up that volume!
Better yet? most products are under $10.00 and I got a huge savings by applying for the Sally Beauty Club Card ($5.00 for one year) and you get a $5.00 off coupon next time around, so you can be sure, I will be going back to try out the other products like the root boost spray and the finishing spray!

Shown here: Ion Volumizing Shampoo ($6.49),Ion Volumizing Conditioner ($7.29) and Ion Volume Builder ($7.29)
I decided to try these out this morning and the results were like night and day!

My stick straight hair was soft and full after blow drying.
When styling,my hair felt thicker somehow, and what blew me away was that even after covering up with a hood due to a Seattle downpour, my hair style held up and didn't go flat,my hair still felt soft and wonderful.
Its been 12 hours and my hair looks just as good!

Until next time~

Bellevue Fashion Week Press Luncheon

Thursday,September 24th was a delight for bloggers and press people. Once more,we were treated to a fabulous brunch at the Hyatt Bellevue, and a fashion trend show hosted by Vogue Market Stylist Cara Crowley.

Fall Trends from 70's fringe,to ponchos, and lace were featured,as well as tweed looks and soft suede.

This year, the focus is on accessories, adding a pop of color,as well as a touch of fringe to your bag, shoes,or coat.

Headbands are back, so are pearls and lady-like suits. It's all about glamour!

I was really impressed by the art work this year for fashion week. The lounge at the Hyatt was decorated so nicely, I couldn't help taking a few pictures! Blair Breitenstein's designs were featured throughout the main hall.

I will be covering the Fall Fashion Forecast again this year at Bellevue Square this Saturday at 1pm,as well as the Vogue Front Row Fashion Show Saturday evening. Rachel Zoe will also be co-hosting the Fashion Forecast event on Saturday, center court at The Bellevue Collection.

Be on the lookout for falls hottest trends!

Until next time~

I Got Naked (Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation)

Recently, I posted an article on bareMinerals foundation, and my take on Complexion Perfection.
When I returned to Ulta, I had enough points to exchange this product for a new foundation for free.

My choice, Naked Skin Foundation,by Urban Decay. I had used one of their foundations previously, and loved the results. I am happy to report the same with this one.

My shade is 2.0 and it is a prefect match for my skin. The  coverage is seamless, sheer, but not too light and wears all day without needing a touch-up! This really does make a difference. It even wears well through humidity without melting on your face.

The look is soft, not dry. It didnt look cake-y by the end of the day. I really love that you can barely tell I am wearing anything at all,and it didnt make my skin break out, like some others did when I switched brands.

The foundation comes in a pump, and all I needed was two pumps to cover my face. Once again, it is a sheer liquid, and only a little bit is required. I applied mine with a foundation brush, but fingers will work just fine.

This really is worth the price, and I will purchase this again. ($40 at Ulta and at ulta.com)

Meow =^..^=
