Sex And The City 2 That Is!
I've have had a love hate relationship with Sex And The City for years, sometimes loving the show,laughing myself silly, till I had tears rolling down my face, and other times shaking my head in disgust because the topics were so far fetched, I vowed never to watch the show again. Of course, I did!
I have to admit, I really didn't care for the first movie.Watching Carrie with a broken heart and all the gratuitous sex scenes just really left me flat. ....
But all that changed with Sex And The City 2...This movie had it all. It wasn't just about the girls,it was about relationships, and the importance of keeping them. It was as if the girls grew up..the movie had honest to goodness "heart" and that is what made it special and likable. It wasn't just fluff and fashion, it was more about the characters relationships with each other, (Miranda finally let her bitchy guard down) it was about being a wife and mother,and how hard that job can get,and about love, keeping the "sparkle" alive in a marriage after a few years.
I won't give it away, because I don't want to spoil it for those that have not seen the movie yet, but trust me,there are so many moments in this film that I can totally relate to,it had me both laughing and crying...and that is what a good movie is supposed to do.. to be able to touch the hearts of the movie goer. This wasn't just about the "Choos" it was about"choos"-ing to keep the things in your life that really matter.
Gotta hand it to Samantha,she's still at it, and better than ever,but this time shows a funny side of being..well..an "older woman". Cheers for showing that style is ageless.
No doubt that this is a chic flick, but guys, if you do go, I think you will like it. There's more than just makeup and fashion and girl talk. I promise, you'll be laughing too!
