"True Beauty" (Self Best Of Beauty Awards Testing)

It all started with a package from Conde Nast at my door!

What beauty gal wouldn't love trying out the latest and greatest products to hit the scene?

I had signed up to be a beauty awards tester online for Self Magazine months ago, but never expected to be chosen.

I was elated to find four wonderful anti-aging moisturizers to try.

Here, are my "best of" picks for fit skin.

My favorite of the bunch was Jurlique- Not too heavy, with a mild lavender scent.

I found this perfect for both day and night, and soothing for sensitive skin.

I could really see a lift and a difference in my skin after just a few days. ($50)

My second favorite was one that when I first tried it, I didn't actually like. It took awhile to actually experience benefits of this moisturizer, but Glo Therapeutics quickly turned out to be another moisturizer that I kept reaching for.

It did however carry a pretty hefty price tag of $136.00, so I'm not sure if I would actually purchase this for myself, but it did last for a very long time.

It had a very clean scent, and did not leave behind any residue. Again, this can be used for both day and night, but because of its consistency, I chose to use it as a night cream mainly.

Espa was in the middle. I didn't really see much results with this. I'm not sure what it was intended to do. This was more of a lotion/serum. The one thing that I did notice was the scent. It was like rubbing on cough syrup, and it was very strong. I wound up using this on my neck,as it seemed to absorb pretty well. ($78)

Dermelect was the last moisturizer that I tried. I was a bit hesitant to try this, but glad that I did. This is a supplement to your moisturizer that boosts its results. ($39)

The one I stayed with and purchased again was the Jurlique. It was just right for me.

I am very happy to have had this opportunity to try out some great products, and find the perfect cream for me.

Thank you Self Magazine for the chance to be a Best Of Beauty Award tester.

Until next time~

"Ray-Diant" Beauty

I'm a big fan of glitter, but more often than not, I am not a very big fan of glittery nail polish. I find alot of them to be too chunky to cover smoothly,or too thin to really give the type of coverage that I am hoping for.

I came across the China Glaze Prismatic Chroma Glitters Collection at Sally Beauty, and fell in love with this color.

Hints of green and pink glitter, along with a silvery base give this a unique glow on your nails. I had to use two coats to get a good even finish, but the overall effect is dazzling! Once dry, it is smooth and oh so shiny.

There are six shades in the collection:  Ray-diant,Polarized,Liquid Crystal,Prism,Optical Illusion, and Full Spectrum.

You can view these at chinaglaze.com  (Shown "Ray-diant" $8.00)  Available at Sally Beauty and Ulta.

Get you shine on!

Until next time~

Oh My Gossip Girl (What's Inside My May Birchbox)‏

If you're a Birchbox subscriber, then you know all about the excitement lurking around the May Gossip Girl box.

This month was a special treat, as Birchbox teamed with Gossip Girl to put together an exclusive themed box.

My box theme was Hamptons Beach Party.

A few pictures had already been posted of the contents of other subscribers boxes, and I have to say that initially,I was a bit disappointed.

However, when my box arrived, I was very pleasantly surprised!

What was inside was  defiantly  "Lily" worthy. Here's a peek inside my box.  Subscriptions are $10.00 a month with free shipping.

Boxes vary depending on your profile, skin needs, age, etc.Find out more at birchbox.com

Contents:

Algenist Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer (full size would be $90), Color Club Nail Polish in Clambake Coral ($8),Kerastase Shine Serum (full size runs $42),Miracle Skin Transformer Body SPF20 in GLOW ($34).

Also, each box contains little "extras", mine included Kerastase Shampoo and Conditioner, and a saucy little note card sporting the Gossip Girl infamous XOXO to leave behind my own scandalous trail....

Already looking forward to next months box!

Great Gift Idea For The Chic Mom In Your Life

I'm "wild" over this great gift idea I found at my local Ulta by LORAC.

I love anything having to do with a safari theme, and this gift set certainly fits the bill.

This is one that you will certainly want to get your paws on :)

The "Wild For TANtalizer" set sports a great little linen bag lined with tiger stripes and topped with a mock "horn" closure.

Inside, you'll find safari themed packaging filled with bronzer, eye shadow, and a lipgloss that will have you purring. (have you SEEN this color?)

The eyeshadows are soft and sensuous, just like a sleek cat. The bronzer adds a sweet sun kissed glow and features more jungle patterns.

For $39.00, this is a value that you will want to stalk.

Pounce on this Princess!
Until next time~
