A Farewell To The Decade
As 2009 comes to a close,It is my desire to take the time to wish all of you a safe and happy New Year.
May the coming year ahead be filled with love and joy.
There have been so many blessings,so many wonderful people that I have met,and so many fabulous treasures that I have found.
Remember that" It's not the name that makes it fashion...but the fabulous people that put it together with style with confidence and class". (see nov."What's in a name")
Let this be your year to shine!
Until next time~

My Very Best Of List
BellevueGrls year end wrap up of favorite products-
What works, and what flopped. Those ooey gooey messes, the tried and true and the awesome brand new.
As everyone knows, I love a classic makeup look for daily wear. when it comes to a soft natural look I rely upon Stila.
I love most everything about this makeup! From the enviro-friendly packaging to the soft shades, totally blendable eye shadows and blush compacts ,all the way to long lasting, and yes, really smudge proof mascara. I've been using the products now for about three years. even the bronzer is soft and blendable, when applied with a blush brush it goes on and stays on all day without touch ups.a very big plus when you are on the go.
I even traveled with this makeup, everything stayed fresh and packed well in a suitcase without spilling over or getting messy.
Another fave is Sephora "liner electro" in Copper. Ladies, this is a gold flecked copper shade that is great for that gilded sun goddess bronze eye.
The "oops" on my list were Stilas Cherry Crush lip stain...This did not wear well at all,not a good shade if you are fair,Smashbox Cream Eyeliner Palette (the colors ran) and "O"gloss which was a cool idea but an icky sticky lip glossy mess. Another to file under the "don't waste your money" category is Maybelline waterproof Lash Stiletto mascara. This turned out to be a gloppy mess that did not go on well, takes long to dry,and does not wash off well. Waterproof, yes, but taking it off is a hassle, and I woke up with mascara still under my eyes.It takes a really oily eye makeup remover to get all of this off,and the residue is just not worth it.
Hooray for Nars!! Their cream eye shadows are wonderful. the mini compacts fit in a pocket or small purse just right and again the colors are blendable and long wearing. I used Corfu and loved it. a very soft beige-brown that adds just a hint of color. perfect for every eye shade. I also love the blush.Laguna and Orgasm rock!
The best foundation ever- I have tried them all! From Estee Lauder to Chanel,to Clinique, even Maybelline. I have very fair skin and it's hard for me to find one color that I can stick to without having to blend them together to get just the right shade. I actually found two that fit the bill.
Aveda "Inner Light" Duel Powder Foundation. This can be worn wet or dry. it is a powder that when applied with a slightly damp makeup sponge goes on and looks flawless all day. It even hides my freckles, gives a really nice matte finish.
For a liquid foundation, hands down the winner was Make Up Forever HD (high definition) Invisible Cover Foundation. Smooth, light, just right for every day wear. Top off with their loose powder (Micro Finish) for a look that will last all day. No shiny foreheads during the day.
Sparkle in the New Year!
~Until next time

A Christmas Wish From BellevueGrl
BellevueGrl wishes you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!
There are so many families that are struggling right now with money issues. The tight economy this year has affected so many. Those of us that have jobs and homes are so fortunate ! You never realize this until you see people sleeping on the sidewalk. I ask everyone to just take a couple of dollars and buy a toy of some kind and donate it or warm clothes. Just think about how happy you would make a child's Christmas morning who was planning on not having anything this year. The greatest gift we can give is that of joy to someone in need.
Reach out to someone this Christmas! Be an "Angel" for someone that really deserves it. Grant a few holiday wishes for someone you don't know.

Pretty And Practical Holiday Tables - Part 3 Of the "Be Merry-Be Bright Series"
Setting a pretty, yet elegant table for your holiday needn't be a hassle. BellevueGrl has some easy ideas on how to make your table the focus of "Oohs and Aahs" without breaking your budget.
Try simple, then add the glitz. A plain table cloth or runner can serve as a background color for your table. Think gold, silver, white, shades of pink, even purple,or light green. Here's one of my favorite ideas.....
Napkin rings? Try adding package ties. Glittering stars, angels, snowflakes in gold or silver.add a real stick of cinnamon for a realistic touch,or dip a small pine cone in some glitter then add a ribbon to the top and tie on to your napkin.
I did a bit of holiday window shopping to get some ideas for you,and found Pier 1 to have some of the best, inexpensive decorating ideas. Gilt candle holders, with gold edging were $3.00 a piece, fill with your choice of votive candles. add some reindeer in gold, and ornaments to your table. I was able to find some in just about any color imaginable (including hot pink with silver). They also have some really pretty glassware, most are under $8.00. don't forget the mistletoe..."kissing balls" can be found in every color too,and most are only $3-$5.00.
For a really festive look try 3d mini foil hanging snowflakes. I found some at Party City that come 8 in a pack for $4.99. Imagine a room filled with a simple, yet elegantly lit table, shining with ornaments and fresh greenery and hanging from the ceiling are little snowflakes catching the candlelight!
This would even work as a decoration for a winter wedding.hang snowflakes and stars from the ceiling, make your table white with silver or gold accents ,hang a white or gold Christmas wreath in the hall......beautiful!
Until next time~

Try pink, yes really, a pretty pink cloth in any shade of pink, add a touch of pink and silver Christmas ornaments(you can get these at Target),use simple hurricane lamps with candles as a great centerpiece,or a simple basket shaped as a sleigh, fill with fresh pine cones( or scented cinnamon ones) and greenery for a great look. most of these items can be found at your local Michael's store. For an even more glamorous table, try filling a large bowl with water, and add floating holiday candles.

Tricks For Pretty Tips
Angels, thinking of some cool ideas for adding some holiday pizazz to your nails???
BellevueGrl has a few simple tricks to try to make your nails sparkle.
Try adding a few crystals or glitter (Red,Gold,Silver, even Green) apply to your nails while slightly tacky ,dip nail tips in a small bowl(dessert size) of glitter, then when dry cover with a clear coat of polish then spray with an instant nail dryer. you can find most of these items at a discount beauty supply like Sally or Beauty Warehouse.
Another tip to try, look for little decals, often sold in sets such as angels, snowmen, snowflakes. I found some great ones just browsing through my local Rite Aid in the nail care isle, and think that they would look adorable...why pay more when you can do it yourself at home for half the cost?
Just another way to "Be Happy.. Be "Bright" (hint hint) This Season

Holiday Hair Help
Just in time for those holiday parties BellevueGrl has some hot tips for great holiday hair.
The Christmas season is here again, and so are all the parties! Our dresses are ready, our shoes, our makeup has been planned, but what about our hair?
BellevueGrl is here with some easy and inexpensive ways to make your hair just as pretty as the rest of you.
Without trying to pull a "Blair Waldorf" try a jeweled headband. Sweep your bangs forward or gently to the side and place headband about midway, add a little spritz of hairspray and you have an easy and polished look to go with anything.
I happened to find some really great ones at my local Rite Aid store--even better??? They're under $10.00
Claire's is also a great place to try, large selection and still fabulous prices...Think red plaid, silver, gold for the holidays!
A glittery scarf can be used for a side-swept pony tail,or be fun and creative and tie your hair with a bit of package ties for the Christmas season. glittering stars, angels, etc make a cute statement for longer hair.
For a super glamorous look, replace your usual hairspray with Frederic Fekkai Spray On Hair Crystals. This is a crystalline mist that captures thousands of the tiniest diamond and pearl particles to provide all-over brilliance and dimension to your style.
This product is available in three shades: champagne, copper, and bronze. You'll be turning heads as a foxy fashionista should!
Short hair can go glam for the season too! Try jeweled bobby pins. I again found some amazing ones at Rite Aid .Beautiful amethyst flowers, dragon flies, etc. Again, under $5.00 . Try pinning on the sides of your hair to make your short style sparkle.
Be the "Star" at your next party, and try some of these tips to put a little "sparkle" in your eyes, and maybe someone elses. Slip them a little note to meet you under the mistletoe.
Happy Holidays!!
Until next time~

BellevueGrl Takes A Look At Labels
What's In A Name?
Does wearing a brand name or shopping at designer boutiques make you more fashionable than the average person on the street? "BellevueGrl" doesn't think so. I recently picked up a copy of 425 Magazine and though I really like that it supports local businesses on the Eastside, shows restaurants and little otherwise unknown places and weekly specials,I was disappointed by the On The Town fashion pages.
While there were two women that I would consider appropriately dressed to adorn the pages of their magazine, the rest were dressed in mix-matched catastrophes but made the page because they just happened to be wearing a designer label. I don't think wearing Birkenstocks with a beautiful lime green sports outfit makes one fashionable, nor does wearing ripped ("distressed") jeans and old suede boots considered appropriate attire for work. Their choices were not indicative to what's really out there.
Take a look at some of the dance clubs, you will see amazing fashion. The little black dress teamed with a leopard print headband, opaque black tights and black suede booties..Name brands, designer labels..who cares??? This look is HOT HOT HOT
How about the career mom? We all know one" Someone "who can put together a look in a jiffy ,the gal that sits next to us on a bus with impeccable taste..trench coat, scarf, minimal makeup, but glowing skin, beautiful heels reading a "Parent'' magazine every morning. That's fashion too!
How about a well-groomed man? He doesn't have to be wearing Armani, but someone who can rock a pair of fresh blue jeans,a black wool jacket whose hair is fresh and clean and smells divine can turn heads faster than any Calvin Klein model could. That's real "on the street" fashion.
While I will admit to owning Ralph Lauren,Coach,Kenneth Cole,Burberry, some of my best "go to" pieces are not designer names at all. My closet holds plenty of Gap and Target.
It's not the name that makes it fashion...but the fabulous people that put it together with style with confidence and class

BellevueGrl On The Town
The Party "Got Started"...and then some!!!!
Where can you find the hottest Techno/Dance Club in town??? The answer would be The Last Supper Club.
I recently found this out for myself when I won a special pass to see European DJ "Mr.Sam". "Oh What A Night"!!
The man brought the house down with his sly mixes of The Killers-" Mr Brightside" and Deleriums "Silence" (I'm a huge Delerium fan) I'm familiar with his music since I listen to Tiesto,Delerium,D:Fuse, Cowboy Mike, Mike Hiratzka, Urban Astronauts, and Kristy Thirsk. This was some of the best I've heard .
The Dancers were amazing. The In-House DJs got the place warmed up with hot beats all their own. Darrius,MarQ,etc helped get the party started. Everyone in the place was dancing .hard not to with those sweet sounds going down.
"Mr. Sam...I am..a new fan!!!" Hot Hot Hot!!!
Special Thanks to "Lisa Last Supper" ;-) and the staff at The Last Supper Club for making my night so much fun. Everyone was great and really friendly from Security,to the Bartender, all the way to the Wait-Staff.
I'll be back again..and hopefully "Mr.Sam" will be too! He promised to "Strike back again real soon" we'll be waiting !!

Starlight..Starbright..Whose the hottest male on Gossip Girl ???? I Tell All Tonight
Aah the price of being a young twenty something hot Hollywood star...flights from coast to coast,3am on sets for makeup, getting caught with "airplane hair" and late late nights..shooting in all kinds of weather ..and overly "chatzy" chat mates ;) Some seem to be pretty frustrated and often voice it with their fans on Twitter and Facebook, others take a milder ,well mannered approach...all in a days work.
I'm ready to spill on Hollywood's hottest GG hunks and I have to say that most are pretty much like the characters they play.
Penn Badgley...very much like "Dan" quiet, reserved, playful, funny
Chance Crawford..the "Gentleman" often teaming with other cast mates..seems very sweet
Ed Westwick... Aah the "Proverbial Chuck Bass" just as naughty and fun as his character and good humored given someones "Twitter Meltdowns" of obscenities etc
So..who made my "A" list??? I have to say that I like them all,but if I had to choose one it would be Ed...who wouldn't love that "Chuck Bass" kind of class???
Until next time~

Mirror Mirror
Mirror Mirror on the wall...whose the sweetest Gossip Girl star of them all???
Hands down and hats off ..Surprisingly the answer is Blake Lively. This is a young star who manages both her role as Gossip Girls' Serena Van Der Woodsen,as well as a film career, and being main squeeze to actor Penn Badgley with style, grace, and professionalism ..she clearly wins the title every time.
Blake recently thanked her fans on both Face book and Twitter, stating "How grateful she was" for all of them. She doesn't complain, takes questions from her fans and doesn't get flustered by it all even when traveling from La to NY..keeping a calm head on her shoulders, and posting pictures of her magazine shoots etc on Twitter so that her fans can enjoy ..she has even gone so far as to do a text in request to her, no doubt flooded by questions and messages...here is a gal who may have stars in her eyes but has her feet firmly on the ground.
I was a fan since day one,but am now even more so because of her graciousness and kindness to share a part of herself with the people that watch her show..old Hollywood glamour and class...you've got it girl!!!
Hugs also go to Leighton Meister for her obscenely HOT HOT HOT new music video. Leighton is a bit more private but hear from her from time to time...This GG star is going places
Taylor Momsen- on tour with the Veronicas
Jessica Szohr- the price of being a popular starlet can get this gal a little flustered and stressed. sometimes has been known to display that to her fans and friends.hope fully they will be patient and realize that she's just blowing off steam and needs a little space..boyfriend Ed Westwick must have patience of a saint ..yep..it's all true...
Next week..a glimpse of the GG Boys Club....Whose "Hot" and who is only lukewarm?????

BellevueGrl Goes FanGirl
Just returned from Vancouver,BC from the U2 concert. Vancouver is a beautiful city, clean, people are friendly and it is amazingly modern downtown. Some of the most fabulous shops can be found there. I spotted a Burberry store,a St Johns, and a Max Mara (!) Now, these people know how to shop. also spotted ..Gucci
It was way too cold for my trip and the fashion of the day was mostly jeans, knee high boots and rugged jackets on the street.Saw some really nice North face gear out there, and there is a cool North face store downtown as well.
Special mention to the folks over at the Edgewater Casino for being so nice and letting us inside to warm up and serve us poor frozen fans coffee while we thawed our toes.....
U2 was incredible..This concert was so different from the past. Probably the most inter-active experience that I have ever had. It was as if they were playing just for us, not the typical "rock star" experience. I walked away with the feeling that U2 really cared about their fans and wanted to give them a more intimate look at themselves than ever before. The stage, the entire show was built around getting closer to the audience, and they succeeded in making it memorable.
This is a concert, that if you are lucky enough to get to see,may want to see twice. It was worth waiting five hours in the cold to get to be part of the inner circle. Bono was three inches in front of me.It was an experience that I will not forget, and I will be in the audience when they come back to Seattle again in June 2010

Penguins And Snowflakes And Glitter Oh My!!!!
The new Coach Holiday Collection is here, and I have to say that I am liking it very much. Some of the most "glam" collections that I have seen so far, without being tacky.
The new key rings are adorable, from pave penguins,to hearts,to a pave snowflake key ring that is definitely going to be on my favorites list this year.
The new jewelry is awesome too.I have my eye on a particular star ring to add to my collection. There are also new handbags added, glittery clutches for your holiday parties.Just right to add that festive touch without going overboard on the sparkle and shine.
Make yourself the "star" this holiday season!!!!

Icons-Coming Up Short
What happens when a company chooses to sacrifice quality in order to appeal to a younger generation?
Often, they miss the point of what actually made them an icon in the first place.
Two Examples- Estee Lauder
One of my favorite fragrances used to be Estee Lauder's Private Collection.Once a scent worn by non other than Grace Kelly herself. This used to be kept hush hush and when you went into a store and asked for Private Collection, the sales rep would have to pull it from their secret stash under the counter. Today, the classic scent has been redesigned to appeal to the masses. Now, while the newer version is packaged very nicely,it is nowhere near the classic scent that I knew and loved. I still long for the orange blossom original .a "turn your head" kind of scent that had people asking wherever I went what I was wearing. It was light, just right, and lasted all day, paired with the body lotion it left you feeling sensual. Estee Lauder has lost my business by replacing their classic scents with lighter cheaper versions. I've long since headed back over to the Chanel counter.
Coach-Uh Oh!!! I'm going to say it.... Coach is not the same!!!
While I still love the brand, coach has changed from it's classic original leather goods substituting fabric for the inside of it's bags and "gasp" plastic on the outside of some of it's bags, cheap stitching and simple metal instead of it's brass finish clasps and zippers, and suede leather interiors.
I still remember purchasing my very first Coach bag.Every young woman knew that owning a coach bag was not only a status symbol, but a lasting quality made piece. In my day only Dillard's carried Coach. The smell of real leather, the suppleness, there were so many to choose from.My purchase was what is now long gone, the original Christie Bag. A little shoulder bag in green leather, with a brass clasp. Those bags were meant to last a lifetime and age like a well worn saddle (leather that made Coach famous originally)
To this day, I still have that bag. I also have a much loved and worn-out black leather tote bag.had it not been for a hole that had worn through the bottom of the bag, I would still be carrying it today.
Today's bags are made of fabric with very little leather,or you will see a pebble grain leather. the fabric used on the inside can tear, get dirty (ink, coffee spills, etc)or worse, rot with time.
I can say with pride that both of my Coach bags, the "original classic leather" are well over ten years old . I have since purchased one of the newer styles,a Madison, but I miss the old quality. Not having to worry because my bag was waterproof. Today's bags are not. wish the classic had stayed just that.
Do you have any classic pieces that have changed in your wardrobe? Care to share? Write me here.
Until next time~

A Taste Of Paris
One of my favorite things to do on a Sunday morning is to sit outside on the patio (weather permitting) with a freshly brewed cup of coffee or two and a cinnamon roll,or croissant....enter "The French Bakery"
You'll think you're in Paris. This place has it all. Everything from baguettes to yummy filled croissants (try the chocolate),to quiche, and white chocolate raspberry mousse.
The pasteries are baked fresh every morning often before seven am,and the smell will lure you in.
Everything from eclairs to pear tarts and cheesecake are artfully displayed in a little case.....it's hard to chose just one.
Where can you find such decadance? right here in Bellevue. There are two locations one at Crossroads Mall, and the other in downtown Kirkland.
Make it a point to stop in,it's worth it

Ankling Along
How to wear the latest trends-Pairing
My predictions for fall were spot on!!!! Now how to pair these fabulous looks?
Try these hot ideas for your ankle boots this season......
Opaque colored tights matched with a mini skirt,or try leggings with a long tunic (maybe belted to break up the length)
Another great look is a mid length pencil or A- line skirt matched with tights and ankle boots. Think a gray tweed skirt or hounds tooth with charcoal gray tights ,gray or black suede or leather boots.
Add a leather jacket ,a swing coat or a bomber jacket and you've got the right idea for fall 2009 fashion.
What about bright colored ankle boots??
Again, those can be paired with black , or if you're like me ,skinny jeans and a jacket or scarf that matches the color of the boots for an eye catching look . an example would be bright red boots with a red and black plaid jacket, black pants, etc. you get the idea!
Be Fabulous!!!

Bistros On A Budget
When I first started writing for BellevueGrl, I didn't intend on becoming a food critic, but there are so many great places to dine in this town, that I had to give just a quick review of where to get the best food for under $25.00 and that includes a great glass of wine......
Here are some best bets to help your budget but keep you from "Whining" while you're dining
Nestled inside the old Chili's Restaurant in Issaquah is Tutta Bella- At first glance one might think it's just another italian restaurant amid the rest, but this place has an upbeat atmosphere,a friendly fun staff, the owner will come out and chat with you,and has the best speciality pizza I've tried all for under $25.00 including a glass of wine. The patio dining is very elegant, with little fireplaces ,it's cool without the heavy cash.
The same goes for Pizzeria Guido located at Crossroads Mall in Bellevue. The wine list is extensive ,featuring most wines direct from Italy, great prices, nice "homey" atmospere. This place is always packed, usually a hometown crowd, and one bite of their pizza will tell you why. I'm not sure if it is the food or the staff that impressed me the most. My waiter opened up a fresh bottle of Valpolicella, Villa Girardi 2003 for my pleasure after he noticed I enjoyed my glass so much.=) I was in heaven!!! Again, a very reasonably priced meal.
Rubys Diner- Redmond Great for breakfast,a fast luch,or dinner and yes, they have green chile to put on your burgers . This place is great for the kids, quick service if you are on your lunchbreak.and again most meals average about 10.00 They have just about any kind of shake you could want ,syrups to add to your coke or soda for a real cherry/lime coke. Fun,friendly staff.
Frankies Pizza and Pasta-Redmond A friend of mine and I discovered this restaurant quite by accident when we were new here. we were starving and driving around the town totally lost when we came upon this great restaurant..now this pizza comes with the best marinara sauce I have ever tasted...just like your grandma would make at home if you were so lucky. It's been three years, and we've been coming back to this place ever since. They serve great pasta ,all freshly made in their kitchen. My favorite, Fettuccine Alfredo is made with real cream sauce, you can taste the butter, add a little fresh cracked black pepper..yum!!!! I must mention the wine of the month as well...the owner has never made a bad choice every time it's wonderful. For a great meal that's not alot of "dough"..pardon the pun.. this is a place you'll keep coming back to!
More to come-

Bookin' It
BellevueGrl isn't just about fashion tips,it's about finding quick tricks, tips, and great buys, where to find the friendliest helpful staff, and where one can just kick back and get pampered. One of my favorite things to do is to unwind at my local coffeeshop or bookstore.
Isn't it funny how a booklover can get lost at Borders or Barnes and Noble????
A book can make us laugh,it can make us cry. A book can inspire. It can be a muse or a catalyst to great things. to a child it can be magical,to the teenager it can create a world beyond, somewhere to escape, and to an adult,it can bring back memories of fond times,of love lost,of triumph.it can teach.even the smell of an old bookstore is something to savor.
Some Great places-
Half Price Bookstore- Redmond large location, books, cds, movies, comics, even bestsellers, you can browse till your hearts content. lot's of great gift ideas. wonderful for books on wine and cookbooks. their sci-fi section is the best I've seen
Borders-Redmond-Friendly helpful staff, knows their merchandise, which scores extra brownie points from me.If they don't have it,they will offer to order it for you. beautiful collection of 2010 calendars.Nice Seattles Best Coffee inside
Barnes and Noble-Issaquah This store is always well stocked. If you can't find it at your local shop, try this one. after shopping a few other locations I was impressed to see that this particular store was up to date on all the hottest items. Extra points...very clean Starbucks inside, they bake cookies fresh there,so be prepared to fall victim to chocolate chip cookies...yum!

Dollars and Sense
I don't know about you,but even as a savvy shopper I'm not planning on a shopping trip to the new Neiman Marcus anytime soon.
I mean in today's economy unless you have a throw away income can anyone really afford to?
"Ball-gowns be damned!!!"
Although I'm not above strolling through to grab a few samples in the cosmetic department (CHANEL)
So what's a girl on a budget to do??? Bellevue Grl has the answers.......
I'll bet if you raid your own closet you'll find that you already own a few of falls hottest pieces.
here's some tips and some great places to shop when every penny counts.
Black Skirt-Add a colorful belt in hot pink, electric blue,or leopard print to update the look and add a pop of color
White Blouse- Add Jeans and boots
Over sized Bag-Add a "pony-tail scarf" to the handle tied in a bow to give a sweet classic look
Scarfs- Always in style
Vintage Jewelery- Very hot this year
More to come on great places to shop

Jeans Jumble
After hours of trying on various brands of jeans and six stores later,a big thumbs up to a very popular company for their "Born to fit(R) " Jeans. One try....and they got it right!!!!
Smooth line,no "gaps" (pardon the pun) at the waistline so you don't have to wear a belt, perfect fit and the length??? Heavenly!!! Finally jeans made for those of us that have above average inseams.
A slap on the head goes to the other brand who says that they make jeans that are "Made to fit real women" Four pairs, all the same size and the same style, guess what??? four different lengths...none of them long enough.
Now, the above mentioned jeans do come with a bit of a pricey tag and do not come in black (YET!!!) but for the fit, they are worth the price (69.50)
I'll be back for more!

A Well Kept Secret
Anyone who has known me for awhile knows that I love to collect antique jewelery. I have alot of hand me downs given to me by my grandmother who was rarely without her signature pearls or blue crystal necklace.
Tucked inside a tiny corner of Crossroads Mall in Bellevue is Exclusively Art. The shop keeper Svetlana stocks some of the most unique pieces you will ever find. I found a beautiful pair of owl earrings in green and gold crystal. From necklaces (turquoise, quartz, and crystal) to earrings, one of a kind crosses, seed pearls and Victorian style jewelery, this is the place to find that one of a kind conversation piece that will always get you compliments.
With dress wear returning to an almost "forties" look the pieces found in this shop are perfect to pair with a sweet red or black bow trimmed mid length cocktail dress.
The secret is out.....check out this fantastic place on your next trip to the mall, bet you'll walk away with a few "treasures" of your own!

Bargin Hunting
Every now and then going to consignment, thrift stores or even hunting your neighborhood locals, you can find a great deal. This was the case on a recent trip to my local mall in Factoria. I usually don't shop end of season sales....too much compulsive buying...but this time I really found a treasure at my local Nordstroms Rack....
Most of the time I browse through the store not finding much to take home, often getting a deeper appreciation for what is hanging in my own closet, but this time I found something so special I quickly grabbed it,tried it on to make sure it was real, and walked out of the store feeling like I won the lottery!!!!
Found: one Ralph Lauren hot pink satin trench coat (the belted kind that "Brenda Lee Johnson" wears on The Closer) This hot little number was originally $219.00 was marked down to $79.97 now when I went to the register,I was expecting to pay that price...imagine my shock when the total rang up at $47.98!!!! I quickly grabbed my coat and made for "the getaway car"!!! =-)
How awesome is that??? One fabulous fashion find and something that will be around for a long time...
Treasures can be found if you keep hunting!!!

It's finally Fall !!!!
After the fashion faux pas of the summer (white shorts with zebra print undies, and flippin' out of your flip flops at the mall and flopping on your face) Let's hope that this season brings out some foxy fashionistias in some fearless fashion.
Hint to the wise: Watch it on the leopard print!!!!
What's hot???? White shirts. Maybe with a ruffle or interesting pleat.Pair with slim jeans, and ultra high ankle boots for a killer look.add a classy leather jacket or trench,a big bag,a scarf and you're rocking some hot looks!!!
Tip for those ankle boots: A bit tight, but love the heel??? try getting them in half a size larger and add some insoles (the gel kind) your feet will stay comfy all day
